Questions
How do I book?
Choose dates and a car in the booking box at the top, enter your name, e-mail and phone, and pay by card. You get a confirmation e-mail right away.
Can you deliver the car to my hotel or the airport?
Yes. Tick “Deliver the car to me” when you book and type the address. Delivery anywhere in the Bergen area, including Bergen Airport Flesland, costs NOK 299. We call you when we arrive.
How does the deposit work?
You pay a refundable deposit of NOK 2,000 with the booking. It is refunded automatically 5 days after you return the car, minus any tolls, parking or missing fuel.
What about fuel?
Return the car with the same fuel level as at pick-up. Missing fuel is charged at pump price plus a NOK 150 refuelling fee. The Toyota uses petrol (95), the van diesel.
How do toll roads (bompenger) and ferries work?
Norway uses automatic toll stations, so you just drive through. Tolls and ferries during the rental are charged at the actual price plus NOK 50 admin per rental, taken from the deposit.
What if I scratch or damage the car?
The cars are fully insured. Small stone chips and light marks are normal wear and free. Other new damage is charged at repair cost, up to a maximum of NOK 8,000 per incident. Take photos at pick-up and return so we both know the car’s condition. See the rental terms.
Why do I need to verify my ID?
To keep our cars safe we check that the driving licence is real and belongs to you. After paying you get a link: a photo of your licence or passport plus a selfie. It takes about two minutes.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before pick-up with the link in your confirmation e-mail. After that, the deposit is refunded but the rental is not.
Who can rent?
Drivers aged 20 or over who have held a valid driving licence for at least a year. Licences from outside the EU/EEA need Latin letters or an International Driving Permit.
